Schroeder named Sparrow Senior VP and Chief Medical Officer

LANSING, Mich. - Brian D. Schroeder, MD, has been named Sparrow Health System's new Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer.

In his position, Dr. Schroeder will be responsible for supporting safety, quality, patient satisfaction and partnering with the medical community.

Dr. Schroeder comes to Sparrow from Covenant HealthCare in Saginaw, where he served as Medical Director for the hospitalist program. His diverse career includes experience as an Emergency Room Technician and a Registered Nurse.

Dr. Schroeder received his medical degree from the University of Texas and his master's in business and administration from the University of Michigan. He has held numerous leadership and educational roles while at Covenant and at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.
