Sparrow creates new executive role focusing on Patient and visitor experience

Sparrow has created a new executive role that focuses exclusively on our Patients’ and visitors’ experience to ensure we are providing quality, compassionate care to everyone, every time.

Sabarras George, a Lansing-area native and former Executive Director of the Sparrow Michigan Athletic Club (MAC), has been named Vice President of Guest Services at Sparrow.

George holds a bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University and a master’s degree in organizational leadership and change management from Colorado State University. He serves on the Cristo Rey Community Center Board of Directors and is a youth football coach in Haslett.

George, also formerly Executive Director of Health and Wellness at Sparrow, will oversee those responsible for the non-clinical needs of Patients and visitors at Sparrow. Among those are clean and safe facilities, convenient access and parking, and such amenities as Internet access, healthy dining choices, and entertainment options.

“We created this role to help give us greater focus on the comforts our Patients and visitors want and need when they are at Sparrow,” said Tom Bres, Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer at Sparrow. “We expect to achieve even greater levels of satisfaction for our Patients and their families.”

Choose Wisely. Choose Sparrow.
