Published: Oct. 23, 2014

Sparrow, as a member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network, is honored to be one of a select number of locations throughout the U.S. and Canada to host a traveling interactive exhibit celebrating Mayo Clinic’s 150th anniversary.

The free exhibit, Mayo Clinic: 150 Years of Serving Humanity, will be open for public tours from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31, on the lawn adjacent to the Sparrow Professional Building, 1200 E. Michigan Avenue, Lansing.

The high-impact exhibition on wheels provides an engaging journey of discovery. Visitors will see the human body as never seen before and discover how we use innovation, research and technology to meet the unique needs of individual Patients. The contemporary, multi-media exhibits bring to life Mayo Clinic’s values and an exciting vision for the future of health care.

Sparrow’s membership in the prestigious Mayo Clinic Care Network is helping Sparrow Physicians provide some of the most advanced care in the nation, right here in mid-Michigan. Mayo Clinic resources, like AskMayoExpert and eConsults, complement our Physicians’ expertise and help Patients avoid unnecessary travel for specialty care.

Sparrow is mid-Michigan's premier health care organization, featuring the region’s only Level 1 Trauma Center and formal affiliations with Michigan State University's three human health colleges. Sparrow Hospital was recently awarded the Michigan Quality Leadership Award, the highest honor for organizational performance excellence in the state, and is one of only 6 percent of hospitals nationally to have earned the Nurse Magnet Distinction from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
