Sparrow Leader appointed to International Healthcare Group

LANSING, MI – Kira Carter-Robertson, Sparrow’s Senior Vice President, Regional Hospitals, has been appointed to the executive council of a prestigious international group of healthcare executives.

Carter-Robertson, a Lansing native who resides in Grand Ledge, was named to the Council of Regents, which provides advice and counsel to leaders of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). She will take office March 18, representing Michigan and Northwest Ohio.

ACHE has more than 48,000 members who lead hospitals, healthcare systems, and other health organizations. Its mission is to advance healthcare excellence, in part, through its FACHE credential that signifies board certification in healthcare management.

Carter-Robertson has been an instrumental leader at Sparrow in a variety of positions and in recent years has helped guide Sparrow’s Community Hospitals to success. She also formerly served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Sparrow Specialty Hospital, Sparrow’s long-term acute care facility.

She has received numerous honors for her professional and community work, including the ACHE Senior Careerist Award and the ATHENA Young Professional Leadership Award. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame and her master’s from St. Louis University. Outside of work, Carter-Robertson is active in a variety of community boards, including Dart Bank, the Greater Lansing Foundation, and the Highfields Endowment Committee.
