Sparrow participates in the launch of Doctors Helping Doctors




Michael H. Zaroukian, MD, Sparrow Vice President and Chief Medical Information Officer recently participated in the launch of Doctors Helping Doctors Transform Health Care.

Doctors Helping Doctors was established to help make the heavy lifting of electronic health record adoption and care transformation a bit easier, said Zaroukian, a founding board member of the group.

"We launched Doctors Helping Doctors to share to create a social media connection among doctors who are on the journey towards health care transformation powered by information technology," he said "We want to help doctors who are just getting started using electronic health records and health information technology."

Sparrow, Arialink launch new high-speed network to deliver electronic Patient medical information instantly

Sparrow and internet provider Arialink will launch a new high-speed broadband fiber optic network to enhance transfer of high-definition images and real-time electronic medical records (EMR) while ensuring Patient privacy and security.

The $3.2 million, state-of-the-art network will span about 100 miles connecting to Sparrow Clinton Hospital in St. Johns, Sparrow Ionia Hospital and physician practices.
