Sparrow pediatric Patients treated to festive ballet performance

Published: Nov. 24, 2014

Six members of the Children’s Ballet Theatre (CBT) of Michigan visited the Sparrow Children’s Center on Saturday, Nov. 22 and performed scenes from their upcoming show The Nutcracker.

This year marks the 34th annual production of The Nutcracker by CBT. Through a unique partnership with Sparrow, each year several children who have received pediatric services at Sparrow join the annual performance of The Nutcracker as guest dancers. This program enables children with physical limitations to practice and perform dance while helping to raise funds for pediatric services at Sparrow through the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) campaign. This year seven guest dancers, five returning and two new, will take the stage to represent the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN).
