Sparrow’s family practices located in Ionia, St. Johns and Portland are being renamed in line with our other Sparrow Medical Group (SMG) practices.
Tony Balice Clinic is now SMG Ionia, St. Johns Professional Associates is now SMG St. Johns and Portland Family Health Center is now SMG Portland. These practices were already part of the Sparrow Medical Group, and this change will bring consistency to Sparrow-owned family practice names.
Sparrow SMG practices offer a seamless connection to Sparrow’s comprehensive care through the iSparrow electronic medical record system. SMG Physicians have secure and immediate access to a Patient’s complete medical record across the continuum of care, from the region’s only Level I trauma center and specialized heart, neuro, and cancer centers, to our neonatal intensive care unit and a dedicated Pediatric Emergency Department.
There will not be changes to Patient care at any of our family practice locations. Patients will begin seeing updates to signage, brochures, bills and other materials in the upcoming months.
