The St. Ignace girls' basketball team and Coach Dorene Ingalls visited Sparrow Cancer Center today to visit with Patients and tour the facility.

The team participates in fundraisers for cancer research each year, raising funds for hospitals in their area. Tomorrow, the team will head to the Class C state championship, but first they stopped by Sparrow to bring a little extra cheer to Patients.

The Sparrow Cancer Center fights cancer with state-of-the-art technology, the latest treatments, and -- most importantly -- a unique, compassionate approach to caring for Patients. We offer oncological surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, and drug therapies. We don't simply address the physical needs of our Patients. We also work hard to instill hope in a caring, healing environment by empowering Patients emotionally and arming them with all the information they need.
