Community leaders named to Sparrow Ionia Board of Directors

IONIA, MI –Sparrow Ionia Hospital has named three outstanding community members to its Board of Directors, each serving a three-year term.

John Davids grew up in Portland and has lived and worked in Ionia County for most of his career with the Michigan Department of Corrections. He served for two years as Deputy Warden at Bellamy Creek Correctional Facility. In May, he was appointed Warden of the Ionia Correctional Facility.

Davids served as a Michigan High School Athletic Association official for over 20 years and coached at Portland High School from 1991 to 2014. He and wife Nancy have four children.

Elle Lehman of Portland is a licensed funeral director and Manager of the Ionia Chapel of Lehman Funeral Homes. She is involved in various charitable and civic activities, including membership in the Ionia Area Ambassadors, serving as a board member of the Portland Area Chamber of Commerce, and coaching in the Ionia Bulldogs Fastpitch Softball Program.

Sharon Page is a lifelong resident of Ionia County and recently retired from McLaren Greater Lansing after a 39-year career as a Respiratory Therapist, Smoking Cessation Facilitator, Asthma Educator, and other roles.

Page has served on many community boards and committees, including the Sparrow Ionia Hospital Foundation Board and the Sparrow Ionia Hospital Capital Campaign. She also coordinates the National Farmers of America program that recognizes leaders throughout the country.

She and husband Kevin and son Terry and daughter-in-law Judy own and operate Page Farms, LLC. She and her husband have two children and a third, Daron, who passed away in 2010.
