"Turbo" the snail is a new member of the colorful glassed-in hallway of the Sparrow Children's Center, thanks to Celebration! Cinema in Lansing.
Celebration! has installed a replica "Turbo" in the fifth floor hallway, surrounded by other favorite children's characters and hand-painted slogans from our young Patients. "Turbo" was the star of a popular animated movie this summer about an underdog snail who miraculously attains the power of super-speed.
"Turbo" is so recognizable that children and families quickly began snapping photos as he was being put on display at Sparrow, said Amanda Johnson, Marketing Manager at Celebration! in Lansing.
"It's great when we can do something to make kids smile," she said.
