Over the weekend representatives from Wish Upon a Teen (wishuponateen.org), decorated the room of a teen Patient in the Sparrow Children’s Center, making it feel just a little bit more like home.
Design My Room is an exclusive Wish Upon a Teen program for those facing extended hospitalization while battling a life-threatening illness. Working in partnership with hospitals around the country, and supported by donations, Wish Upon a Teen is given access to the teenager’s hospital room and allowed to decorate the room (within the guidelines of the facility). This can include bringing in new fresh bedding, rugs, posters and even movie or sports memorabilia.
Thanks for putting a big smile on our Patient and providing them with a taste of normalcy during such a trying time!
