Group Tennis Lessons
Our classes challenge you whether you are just beginning to play, haven't played in a while, or just want to take your skills and game to the next level.
Group Stroke production, keeping the ball in play, and knowing where to stand are some of the fundamentals of playing the game. Build your game so you can enjoy the sport in a social or competitive atmosphere. Refer to the program guide listings and look for 2.0-2.5 groups.
Intermediate Level Group
Building consistency and understanding how to better execute your strokes is the main goal of this class. If you are able to sustain a rally and wish to hit with more power and/or understand how to control the ball better, this is a class for you. Refer to the program guide listings and look for 3.0-3.5 groups.
Advanced Level Group
This class is for those that understand ball control with pace, with spin, and can manage directional control of the ball. All strokes can be produced and working as a team on court is evident. Refer to the program guide listings and look for 4.0+ groups.
Leagues are available to members of the Michigan Athletic Club for players 3.5 NTRP and above. Throughout the year there will be two 14-week league competitions. There is no league player during summer months.

Live Ball is the tennis workout that tries to check all the boxes: fitness, fun, action, and camaraderie. It's an approach to tennis where instruction takes a back seat to fitness, where servers and returners are replaced by champions and challengers, where hushed tones and handshakes are trumped by trash-talk and fist-bumps.
Available for levels 3.5+, please call the concierge at 517.364.8800 for more information.
A fun, total-body workout for tennis players of all abilities. This group-based activity begins with a short warm-up, followed by a high-energy cardio workout, and finishes with a cool down.
Classes available throughout the week.
*All classes require reservation. Save your spot with the concierge by calling 517.364.8800. Scheduled classes are subject to change due to MAC events and instructor availability.
