Hospice House of Mid-Michigan is an alternative to home hospice for patients unable to be cared for in a home setting. With 21 private rooms, the Hospice House is a warm and soothing homelike environment where patients receive medical care as well as spiritual and psychological support in an inpatient setting.
The Hospice House features a chapel graced by a living garden, a special bathing room complete with piped in music and a whirlpool bathtub, a living room, a fully functional kitchen, and a rooftop garden. Every private room is recessed and has its own individual address. Lanterns resembling streetlights are mounted on the walls, and the rooms feature oak doors and furniture. Families are welcome at Hospice House 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Our highly trained team is comprised of physicians, nurses, certified nursing aides, social workers, and volunteers specially trained to provide medical care and symptom management in a compassionate, caring way.
Hospice House of Mid-Michigan is the only Medicaid-certified, nursing home licensed, hospice provider in the area. If you are not Medicaid-eligible and cannot cover your expenses at Hospice House, you may be eligible for a scholarship.
