UM Health-Sparrow Pediatric Nephrology

Pediatric Nephrology provides diagnosis and treatment for infants, children, and adolescents with diseases of the kidney and lower urinary tract. This includes children with fluid electrolyte imbalances of unknown etiology, acute renal failure, and end stage renal disease who require dialysis.

In cooperation with the transplant center staff at University of Michigan, Pediatric Nephrology at UM Health-Sparrow also monitors children who are in need of transplant.

UM Health-Sparrow also provides services for counseling and follow up for families of pediatric patients with urinary tract anomalies diagnosed pre- and post-natally.
