Sparrow Caregivers systemwide participated in the Harvest Food Gathering Food Drive this fall.

The Michigan Harvest Gathering is an annual statewide campaign that raises food, funds and awareness for hunger in Michigan.

The Sparrow Main and Sparrow St. Lawrence campuses brought in a total of 6,200 pounds of food and $290 in cash contributions. Sparrow Clinton Caregivers gathered 450 pounds of food and $38 in cash. Sparrow Ionia raised $1,600 in cash donations.

Since its inception in 1991, the Michigan Harvest Gathering has raised more than $8.9-million and more than nine million pounds of food, significantly benefitting Michigan food banks and our state’s emergency response.

Supporting causes such as the Michigan Harvest Gathering is just one way our Caregivers show compassion and strive to achieve Sparrow’s mission to improve the health of the people in the communities we serve.
