CHARLOTTE, MI – The Sparrow Eaton Hospital Auxiliary’s annual “Tree of Love” fundraiser, honoring loved ones with an ornament in their name, is now beautifying the hospital’s main lobby.

The festive tradition provides local businesses and individuals the opportunity to make a donation in remembrance of someone special in their lives. Proceeds benefit the SEH Auxiliary, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to support the hospital. The Auxiliary’s generosity has helped fund clinical rooms, medical equipment, and other items that enhance Patient care.

Ornaments feature ribbons with the name of a loved one or honoree on a holiday tree. Donations are $5 to display a red bulb, $25 for a silver, and $50 for a gold. Donations can be made from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, until Dec. 30. For more information, call 517.543.1050, ext. 52409.

SEH Auxilians Paul Rinckey and Dorothy Bates are coordinators of the fundraiser.

“The SEH Auxiliary is an ongoing champion of our Community Hospital, supporting equipment, services, and experiences,” said Dana Pray, SEH Manager of Development and Patient/Caregiver Experience. “The Tree of Love is an SEH Auxiliary tradition that means much to our Volunteers and our community.”

Visitors are also urged to stop by the Auxiliary-run shop, The Gift Basket, at the hospital, 321 E. Harris Street, Charlotte. The store has many unique and fun gift items for the holidays, and is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays
