David Luginbill, D.O., named MAOFP Family Physician of the Year

Sparrow congratulates David Luginbill, D.O., who has been named the Michigan Association of Osteopathic Family Physicians' Family Physician of the Year.

He was presented the award during the recent MAOFP 2015 Summer Family Medicine Update conference in Acme.

The MAOFP award is given each year to recognize an osteopathic Physician who has demonstrated exceptional commitment to promoting osteopathic family medicine in the state of Michigan. The recipient exemplifies outstanding leadership abilities and dedication to their Patients and the community.

Dr. Luginbill, Practice Leader at Sparrow Medical Group Lansing, has been as a dedicated family medicine Physician in the area since 1979. As a Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine Assistant Clinical Professor, he upholds Sparrow's commitment to developing the workforce of tomorrow.

"While providing high-quality care to a large number of Patients in the Lansing area, Dr. Luginbill also provides leadership to the Sparrow Medical Group as a member of the Board of Directors and as a participant on several committees," said Doug Edema, M.D., Sparrow Medical Group Vice President. "He also is a mentor to several of our younger Physicians."
