E.W. Sparrow Hospital Welcomes 2024 New Year’s Baby

LANSING, MI – Mid-Michigan, say hello to Ellianna Jeigh Carpenter, E.W. Sparrow Hospital’s 2024 New Year’s baby! Teighlor Campbell of Lansing welcomed baby Ellianna at 1:03 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 2. The baby girl was born at 35 weeks and weighed in at 5 pounds, 12 ounces.

Mom is doing great and Ellianna is receiving treatment in the Sparrow Regional Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, which is under the supervision of Michigan State University Neonatal faculty. It is the region’s only RNICU.

As Sparrow’s New Year’s baby, Ellianna and her mother were given a car seat and other gifts from Sparrow. The Sparrow Foundation also donated an adorable Teddy Bear for the new babe.
