Hundreds gather for Cancer Survivors Day Celebration

Published: June 9, 2014

Despite a rainy start, the weather gave way for a perfect afternoon as more than 500 hundred cancer survivors, their friends and families, and volunteers turned out to celebrate life on Sunday, June 8.

Mid-Michigan's 20th Annual National Cancer Survivors Day Celebration and picnic included entertainment by Donny & the Dorsals, Wil Slone, children's activities, and a recognition of survivors*. The longest survivor in attendance this year was first diagnosed 55 years ago!
