To benefit the Sparrow Children's Center, a Children's Miracle Network hospital, local Rite Aid stores are selling $1 Miracle Balloons until May 19.

Funds raised in Lansing-area stores will directly benefit mid-Michigan's young Patients. Also, customers who purchase a Miracle Balloon will receive $7 worth of coupons for products sold at Rite Aid. Miracle Balloons will be available in all Rite Aid stores nationwide.

"Rite Aid has been incredibly generous by raising millions of dollars for children's hospitals across the country, including Sparrow Children's Center," said Joy Wiseman, Director of Development for the Sparrow Foundation. "This support helps us provide young Patients at Sparrow the most advanced technology and treatment options available."

All donations raised by Rite Aid stay local, benefitting 95 Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in the communities Rite Aid serves, including Sparrow Children's Center. Children's Miracle Network Hospitals use the money to provide critical care, purchase life-saving equipment, fund ground-breaking research and cover medical costs for uninsured or underinsured pediatric Patients.

For more than a century, Sparrow has been a leader in caring for children. The first hospital in mid-Michigan to offer a dedicated children's unit, Sparrow today is home to the region's only full-service pediatric emergency department. As the region's Children's Miracle Network hospital, Sparrow is able to provide families the most advanced technology and treatment options in pediatric and neonatal care.
