Have you heard Mike Gillenkirk play the piano at Sparrow Hospital? For the last four years, he has almost always been there twice daily. And he’s blind.
"I want to be able to be of service to people," Gillenkirk said. "I've been frustrated in my life being disallowed to do that."
Please take a moment to listen and enjoy his beautiful music like so many at Sparrow do daily. He likes patriotic tunes and children's songs, but was playing Christmas music when we caught up with him.
He even came to Sparrow Hospital on Christmas Eve from midnight to 1 a.m. so those who had to be there could have a little cheer.
