Sparrow Clinton Chief of Staff named to health care quality board

Sparrow Clinton Hospital Chief of Staff Christopher Beal, D.O., FACOI, was recently named to the board of directors of MPRO, a national leader in health care quality improvement and medical review.

In addition to his position at Sparrow Clinton Hospital, Dr. Beal is president and CEO of St. Johns Internal Medicine, P.C.; medical director at Hospice Advantage; and a clinical assistant professor in the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Michigan State University.

He holds a variety of health care leadership positions, including board of directors at Great Lakes Health Connect and the Michigan Chapter of Health Information Management Systems Society. Dr. Beal has received several awards and recognitions, including Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Internists, Blue Cross Blue Shield Patient Centered Medical Home, and MPRO Clinical Practice of Excellence.

MPRO is a nonprofit organization that provides medical consulting and review, as well as data analysis to federal agencies, state Medicaid and public health organizations, health care facilities, private health plans and other third party payers.
