Carey Harris of St. Johns has been recognized as Sparrow Clinton Hospital’s 2015 Volunteer of the Year for her outstanding community service.

Harris’s work with the Sparrow Clinton Hospital Auxiliary and hospital gift shop produced amazing results over the past year. Her creative and fun gift shop displays sparked new and exciting shopping opportunities.

Harris was honored at the April 8 Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon. All hospital volunteers enjoyed chair massages, hand treatments and a buffet luncheon in celebration of their commitment to the hospital.

This week is National Volunteer Week, a time to honor the many who devote themselves to the service of others. A total of 170 area volunteers donated 6,900 hours of their valuable time and talent at Sparrow Clinton Hospital to improve the quality of health care in their region.
