The Klewenos like unique names. They turned to a list of “least used baby names” when deciding what to call their little girl. She is the couple’s second child. Maven will soon join big sister Juniper, 2, at home.
Maven was due several days ago.
“She was a shock,” said Summer. “We thought she’d be a couple of weeks early.”
The Klewenos had prepared for a home birth.
“When things didn’t work out at home, we were able to get to Sparrow quick,” said Grant. “We’re tired, but we have our prize.”
As Sparrow’s 2015 New Year’s Baby, Maven and her parents will receive an infant car seat along with a stuffed animal and gifts from Sparrow.
Sparrow is mid-Michigan’s most popular birthing center, delivering about 4,000 babies a year. For more information on Sparrow’s Birthing Services, visit Sparrow.org/birthing.
