In time for Heart Month, Sparrow earns cardiac care honors

LANSING, MI - Commemorating American Heart Month, Sparrow Hospital's Heart and Vascular program has been nationally recognized by the American College of Cardiology for its care of heart attack Patients.

Sparrow is the only hospital in Michigan to receive an ACTION Registry® Silver Performance Achievement Award from the ACC's National Cardiovascular Data Registry. Inclusion on the Registry - recently published in U.S. News & World Report - marks a hospital's success in implementing a higher standard of care for heart attack Patients by meeting aggressive performance measures and American Heart Association clinical guidelines.

The Performance Award reflects Sparrow's commitment to best-practice care of Patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI), or heart attacks. It showcases Sparrow's commitment to delivering the highest quality in cardiovascular care to transform heart health.
